Warm Spring Light: A Bridal Portrait Session in Indiana
Photos By Lauren Albanese

We might be on the cusp of winter, but this bridal portrait session has us hankering for springtime. A talented team of Indianian wedding professionals, including photographer Lauren Albanese and floral designer Kelly Lenard of Intertwine, came together to pull off this delicately rustic shoot, inspired by the warm light of spring. Lauren imagined a session that was soft, feminine, and romantic, and Kelly more than delivered on that vision with her lilac-filled floral creations.
“Nothing says spring and femininity like the sweet scent of lilacs,” Kelly says. “I’m lucky to have quite a few lilac bushes, so I was able to handpick the colors and branch shapes. I wanted the bouquet to be elegant, earthy, lush, and overflowing with lilacs.” She made beautiful use of various other flowers, including tulips, succulents, snapdragons, lisianthuses, and Queen Anne’s lace. A floral belt and a floral headpiece—fun, deceptively simple accessories—were improvised on site.
