Teila & Luke: A Lakeside Engagement Session

Luke, an aspiring cinematographer, and his beautiful bride-to-be, Teila, knew that they wanted an engagement session with a classic-love-story feel that reflected many of the romantic movies they’ve watched together. Both of them have great eyes for detail, so along with their photographer, Abbey Kyhl of AK Studio & Design, they carefully planned out every aspect of their session down to the very last component. With any themed session, the details are just as important as the location and the styling of the couple, and Abbey loves working with creative couples like Teila and Luke who share her appreciation for thoughtful details. “I always have big ideas, and I want to translate them into an amazing session that seems like it came straight out of a movie,” Abbey said. “So when I have couples who are willing to put in the effort to make that happen, it’s so exciting. Teila and Luke were an ideal couple for a styled session because they were as invested in it as I was, and they totally wanted to go the extra mile to accomplish something amazing.”
Well, amazing is a perfect word to describe this sweet and stunning session that is decidedly reminiscent of a scene from a classic big-screen love story. Set against the backdrop of an idyllic southern Utah lake surrounded by majestic woods and meandering, flower-filled meadows, these crisp, dramatic photos are cinematic, romantic, and timeless. Noah Calhoun and Allie Hamilton don’t have anything on these two!
