Classic Southern charm gets a contemporary twist in this dreamily inviting eventscape, effortlessly captured by photographer Elle Boone at the RoseMary Barn in McKinney, Texas. Made out of salvaged materials from an original pole barn built in the 1970s, the bright and airy venue is itself a blend of old and new. Working with a neutral color palette (and a bit of blue!) that played off the white-painted space, Sarah Wintersteen, owner and creative director of Dallas-based event design studio Sistered States, combined Southern favorites (think mint juleps) with of-the-moment details (think geometric designs) to create a timeless look that would work almost anywhere. “All of the refined, traditional elements are juxtaposed by a young and vibrant couple that’s not afraid to let loose and enjoy their special day,” Sarah says.
