Ophelia, Part I
Photos By Lara Hotz

Inspired by Shakespeare’s melancholic, innocent, ill-fated Ophelia, who has captivated imaginations since the great Bard of Avon wrote her into existence, this mesmerizing editorial envisions six different bridal looks based on the memorable fictional female, suspending the more tragic aspects of her character and focusing on her haunting, poetic beauty.
Brilliantly styled by Stefanie Ingram and masterfully captured by photographer Lara Hotz, the editorial originally appeared in the inaugural issue of HOORAY!, an Australia-based bimonthly lifestyle and entertaining magazine with a focus on modern, colorful celebrations. (You’ll be missing the party if you don’t keep up with HOORAY! on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.) This photographic story is so beguiling that we felt compelled to divide it into six parts. Stay tuned for the remaining parts! They’re epic, we promise.
The first part sees Ophelia with a meadowy look. She wears a short and sweet number from Lover’s White Magick capsule collection. Playful polka dots and brown saddle shoes balance the sheerness and ethereal quality of the dress.

Meadowy is such a perfect way to describe this!
