Photographed by Murphy + Grace, today’s urban garden wedding shoot took root in the artsy, once-industrial Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, at the Hickory Street Annex, a converted oil distribution center that now serves as a loft-like event venue and a home to small creative businesses.
“We wanted to evoke the feeling of a hidden gardenscape within the city,” says event designer Karli Jones, owner of Ivory & Vine Event Co. The goal of the project was to bring the outdoors in, with whisper-soft pastel blooms and wispy greenery beautifully juxtaposed against strong interior textures, such as exposed brick and weathered concrete. In the warehouse, steel casement windows look out on an old wall overgrown with a beguiling tangle of vines—the picture-perfect spot for some stunning snapshots of the bride, who wore an ivory lace gown and a leafy crown studded with misty-pink spray roses and sprigs of baby’s breath. Rose-gold touches added a hint of modern glamour.
