Earthy Elegance: A Marsala-Inspired Styled Shoot in Ottawa

Put together by Ottawa-based event design studio Blush & Bashful, today’s shoot takes its cue from Pantone’s color of the year: Marsala, a warmly robust and earthy wine red that conjures up images of decadent fruits, sumptuous fabrics, and opulent merriment. For a richly rustic look, Blush & Bashful worked hand in hand with Bloomfields Flowers, Amy + Jen Décor, and The Sugar Post to play up the seductive shade’s burnished undertones with a complementary palette of muted copper, sage green, and bosky brown.
“This shoot was geared toward couples who envision adding an element of elegance and refinement to an otherwise relaxed bohemian wedding in the great outdoors,” says Holly Rack, Blush and Bashful’s creative director. “We wanted to inspire them to incorporate fun, eclectic, and unconventional details into their wedding days.”
